What is Highway?

The Highway Roadmap Management System provides an easy way to track your product rollouts and manage the milestones leading up to each rollout.

Highway is a web based solution, making it easy to roll out in your organization; Highway being hosted on a networked web server and SQL Server.

Other products are available that cater for the more complex aspect of technology roadmapping such as statistical analysis, inventory and component management, efficiency analysis etc. Those products are great for in-depth roadmapping, however Highway was developed to cater for organization that simply wish to manage the products they are developing and the tasks required to be completed in the lead-up to launch.

Principles

Every product launched has associated with it a varying set of milestones and milestone statuses. Highway enables you to configure these milestones, track them and share this information within your organization. This simple level of roadmapping is an approach we’ve seen in many organisations, who are currently carrying this task out using inappropriate tools such as MS Excel or MS Project (the latter being great for managing projects, but not so good at managing roadmaps).

Highway considers roadmapped products as having a certain set of (configurable) characteristics:

• Geography characteristics – assuming products are rolled in different countries and regions at different times
• Product types – assuming that you’re not producing the exactly the same product over and over!
• Rollout types – because the set of milestones associated with each product launch varies.

Affordable

To keep things simple, Highway is available for one flat, low cost making it affordable to most organisations.
When you purchase Highway, your license allows you to do pretty much what you want with it, with all code made available to you; akin to open source.

Support

A dedicated support email address is provided for you to ask questions about using Highway and reporting problems. We aim to deal with all support requests within 1 working day of receipt.

When maintenance updates are required (e.g. to fix reported bugs etc.) these will advertised to you and made available with clear installation instructions. It is important to note that all maintenance updates will assume that you have not modified any of the code comprising Highway.
